REVIEWS
"This large scale (48 X48 in.) painting interprets the exhibit’s theme with the sizeable bird in determination and flight amongst a series of boxed-in squares of color. Especially
affective is the color usage of deep color towards the bottom giving way to softer lighter tones which extend into the sea."

" It is a great pleasure to feature in NAWA NOW’s Shout Outs, Florida Chapter President Roberta Millman-Ide. She serves as a perfect example of our exceptional NAWA members, who have done invaluable work to help the organization as well as continuing with their own wonderful creations."

"...Roberta Millman-Ide's meticulous oil, DESTINY, in which a delicate, graceful female figure emerges from the center.... with it's central image surrounded by a lunar orb, lined by light, and set against a dark blue ground, this painting positions Millman-Ide as a latter-day Symbolist."

(referring to "Beyond Ourselves") "The tree of life with his verticality is synonmymous of the knowledge and transcendence, equally depicting transcendence of life and knowledge as well as ephemerity. .... The tree emerges at the center of the composition, representing that for the Artist, life creation and family is an eternal preoccupation that lives within her soul. (an excerpt from an icological reading of "Beyond ourselves" and "Destiny".)

"Northern New Jersey artist Roberta Millman-Ide integrated what she saw in all the videos in her mixed media-assembláge,“...and the children, of Sderot, sing RED COLOR.” Included in the video was one about the “Red Color” song—a song that the children of Sderot have learned to sing as a coping mechanism when they hear the code “color red” siren. Millman-Ide’s effective piece glowed with red filtered lights and metallic chains hung at the forefront—symbolic harsh filters of a rocky-textured work that included, hamsas, photos of children, as well as Epsom and koshers salts (undoubtedly echoing the salty tears of a struggling nation)." - Aliza Davidovit; The Jewish Link ("Bleeding Arts"-27 June, 2013)
"...this talented artist truly embraced the persuasive powers of art to communicate across a wide audience. The key message consists of cultural heritage and pressing social/political issues concerning Israel. One particular painting called Arm Yourself by Roberta Millman-Ide delivered a message of strength by bringing together political, visual, and textual elements that make a reference to breaking through oneself and society with the voice of truth." - Pauline Saade; Pinstripe Mag (Sept. 2011)
"When viewing Roberta’s work I am immediately engaged by the unwritten narrative of her paintings. The craftsmanship is rich in detail, earthy, compelling and wise. It’s a honor to know such a compassionate artist and caring friend." - Anthony Grant; Anthony Grant Studio Gallery (2010)
"With every stroke Roberta Millman-Ide's paintings express the passionate complexities of the human spirit. She powerfully leads the conscious and subconscious worlds to a harmonious beginning and ending." - Krista Hyer, Curator & President, Mona Lisa Gallery & Framing, Inc. / Maplewood, NJ
