Dream Series

Dreams have always invaded my sleep. And, some are so persistently repetitious...night after night after night...that, I soon realized that the only way to make them stop was by recreating them in my art.
The images in this gallery were created from those dreams. I took the chaos of the dream-scape and simplified it down to a single image (even though these images can have multiple interpretations).

Activist Art

My Art is Activism. It is my voice. It is the voice for peace and security that we seek in our lives. It calls out, to all, to become the instruments of change in our own communities... as well as to reach out into our world. This Gallery is comprised of some of my works that place, in the forefront, issues that are near and dear to my heart.

Words

My artwork is symbolic and often narrative. This series incorporates the written word into the visual narration.

Whimsy

There are times when I formulate an image the moment my brush or pen or pencil touch the surface. There is no preconception. This gallery name is a bit of a misnomer as the images are not always 'whimsical'. But all these pieces were created on a whim.
I suppose it's equivalent to the act of doodling in Fine Art!

Abstracts

A little more exploring from my Right-Brain. I am primarily a Representational Artist....but... sometimes it's nice to let the right side of the brain take control.

Current Series

This current series explores the 'what if'. What if birds were self-aware, experiencing the same emotions as we do and wrestle with the same types of philosophical questions such as who they are and why do they exist. This series echoes my love of observing birds & daydreams.

My work is often allegorical... so...(rather than separating my artwork into galleries dictated by their medium)

I decided that I would separate my artwork by the stimulus that inspired them.
